Work alongside JHU professors and grad student mentors to dive deeper into real issues and discover new interests.

Riding & Polo

From beginners to veteran riders and polo players, our nationally renowned riding programs cater to students of all skill levels. Polo at GFS is unique, as we are the only girls' school in the US to offer the sport. Beginning in 6th Grade, riders can apply to join the Equestrian Institute, a program designed for competitive riders.

Our STEM programs are integrated and intentional, building a strong foundation that nurtures an inquisitive mind.

All-Girls'

Here, girls occupy every position—in student government, on a team, in club leadership, and more. What girls think, say, and do matters. And there is no better preparation for thriving and leading than discovering your authentic self and using your voice with confidence and power—exactly what an all-girls’ school provides.

"I chose to board at GFS because of the lifelong friendships that Garrison girls build. I was looking for enriching and fulfilling academic opportunities and a learning environment that would allow me to thrive. Being in a community where students have close relationships with their teachers has helped me to succeed as a student and a young woman."

"I chose to study at Garrison Forest because of the sense of community. I love feeling like I am at home in a learning space. One thing that I think factors into that is the all-girls' aspect. I get to see strong women every day and that helps me feel more confident. The top-three skills I've learned are independence, a sense of leadership, and how to be my authentic self."
