Pomfret is a private high school for boarding and day students. Less than an hour from Boston, Hartford, and Providence, and only 3 hours from New York City, we are intentionally small with 350 students. The Hilltop

Set on 500-acres, Pomfret has been called one of the most beautiful schools in the world. Our hilltop campus was designed by the celebrated Beaux-Arts architect Ernest Flagg and world-renowned landscape architect Frederick Law Olmsted.

Schwartz Visiting Fellows

World-renowned experts have been visiting Pomfret since 1989. Past fellows include animal science professor Temple Grandin; author Bill Bryson; human rights activist Madame Jehan Sadat; historian David McCullough; and celebrity chef Ming Tsai.
